The Great Hall has a tradition of hosting many music, drama and social functions by the school. It is also used regularly for community music, drama events and is the venue for school ceremonies and assemblies. It has a seating capacity of approximately 600 and a stage area suitable for large scale dramatics.
It is a facility that ensures students have the opportunities to develop their artistic talents through music, choir, languages, debating and drama, as well as theater set design and construction.
The Great Hall was constructed in the 1984 and the acoustic ceiling was designed by Mr Louis Challis, the sound engineer for the Sydney Opera House and Parliament House, Canberra. The Hall is equipped with two grand pianos and the historic Organ. The Organ is one of only five organs installed in Australia made by the English organ-builder T.C Lewis of London.
