Strong foundations: The Discovery Hub

The Discovery Hub, our dedicated space for our Pre-Kindy to Year 2 students, is where big ideas begin.

Here, students develop early literacy, numeracy and more through hands-on, imaginative learning supported by caring teachers and subject specialists.

In flexible spaces filled with light and nature, every child is known, valued and encouraged to explore.

Our school supports the whole child. Here’s how:

Teaching >

Lessons are clearly structured, concepts are taught step-by-step, and students receive clear guidance, support and feedback.

Learning >

Our curriculum builds knowledge and independent thinking, with specialist-led lessons in languages, arts, and PE.

Wellbeing >

Wellbeing is woven into daily life, with programs and support that help every child feel safe, connected, and ready to thrive.

Co-curricular >

Programs that help students build confidence, resilience, and creativity through music, drama, sport, robotics, and more.

Meet Mrs Ainslie Breckenridge – Head of Junior School

At the heart of every great school is a leader who truly knows children.

Our Head of Junior School, Mrs Ainslie Breckenridge, brings a wealth of experience and a calm, nurturing presence to the early years at Pittwater House.

She believes that learning flourishes when children feel seen, valued and supported – at school and at home.

Ainslie works closely with teachers and parents to ensure each child’s journey begins with confidence, curiosity and care.
