Where confident learners are nurtured from the very start
At Pittwater House, our Junior School is more than a place of learning – it’s a place where your child’s natural curiosity, creativity and character are carefully nurtured in a supportive and inspiring environment.
We offer a unique blend of academic excellence, whole-child wellbeing, and rich co-curricular programs that prepare your child not only for school success, but for life.
A Discovery Hub for our youngest learners
Our Discovery Hub for Stage 1 students – consisting of Pre-Kindy, Kindergarten, Year 1 and Year 2 boys and girls – is located in a safe, purpose-built space on the Pittwater House campus.
Our Pre-Kindy students learn in a large, bright classroom with its own secure outdoor learning area, while our Kindergarten, Year 1 and Year 2 students have access to a purposefully designed outdoor learning area within the Discovery Hub, in addition to the supervised Junior School playground.
Conveniently, the Discovery Hub location offers our youngest students easy access to the broader school facilities, including the Library, the Great Hall, the Performing Arts Centre and the Tennis Courts. To learn more about our campus, click here.
To reflect our Twin-Schooling structure, students in Pre-Kindy, Kindergarten and Year 1 learn in a co-ed environment. From Year 2 onwards, they transition into single-gender classes in preparation for the broader Junior School, where all classes from Years 3 to 6 are single-gender.
Pre-Kindy: A confident start
Our co-ed Pre-Kindy program is where school readiness begins – blending structured play, teacher-guided learning and early exposure to specialist educators.
We use the Early Years Learning Framework but reference the NESA Stage 1 curriculum as our primary source of inspiration.

Our low student-to-teacher ratios guarantee our boys and girls an exceptional learning experience, where they are extended or supported based on their own individual needs.
Early identification of high-potential and supported learners also ensures every child gets what they need to thrive.
By the time they complete Year 6, our students are confident, capable and ready to take on the challenges of senior learning with enthusiasm and independence.
