Stretching skills and confidence

At Pittwater House, we provide the structure, support and stretch students need to navigate their Senior School years with confidence.

From our unique structure, our broad curriculum and personalised pastoral care to the rich array of co-curricular opportunities, every program is designed to shape capable, compassionate young people ready for life beyond school.

Years 7 – 10: Academic, social & emotional change

We support this time of rapid change with our unique structure and expanding support.

  • Single-gender classes for Years 7 and 8
  • Single-gender core classes for Years 9 and 10, combined with three broad and engaging co-educational elective subjects in areas like STEAM, Drama, Design and Visual Arts
  • Targeted pastoral support via Form Groups, Year Coordinators and school counsellors (where required)
  • Enrichment programs, subject acceleration and academic competitions
  • Leadership opportunities beginning in Year 7
  • A broad range of co-curricular offerings designed to uncover each child’s unique interest and talents.

These years are about building independence, resilience and a strong sense of identity – within a supportive, student-centred framework.

Years 11 and 12: Preparing for what’s next

In the final years of school, our focus sharpens: we equip students with the skills, discipline and confidence they need to succeed in their HSC and beyond.

  • Fully co-educational classrooms, mirroring university and workplace environments
  • A wide range of HSC subjects, including Extension courses and TVET options
  • Personalised support through our Senior Study Centre (open Mon–Thurs afternoons)
  • Dedicated staff on hand for study guidance, subject help and revision strategies
  • Ample opportunities for leadership and mentoring.

Our Year 12 graduates leave as capable young adults – academically confident, socially mature, and ready for life after school.
