Student Welfare at Pittwater House

Pittwater House is focussed on the Pastoral Care of students and to further support this, we welcome Dr Donna Hosford.

Dr Hosford is a registered clinical psychologist. She has extensive experience working with children, adolescents, and families in Sydney, as well as in South Africa and Canada in a variety of settings, including schools and hospitals.

Dr Hosford has a strong research background and has also presented her work at international conferences. She has lived in Sydney for the past 6 years and in that time has worked with the University of New South Wales, as well as in private practice.

Dr Hosford has a strong belief in the need to build resilience and optimism in young people in order to succeed in today's complicated world. Her role at Pittwater House, in addition to seeing individual students regarding specific issues, will be to help to develop and implement programs in the areas of mental health promotion and prevention.

Dr Hosford looks forward to getting to know the students and parents of Pittwater House.
