A Remarkable Legacy: Dr. Nancy Hillier’s Retirement Announcement
The Pittwater House Principal Dr. Nancy Hillier will be retiring at the end of the 2025 academic year, after 15 years of exceptional service to the school community following an illustrious 29-year career as a School Principal.
Since joining Pittwater House in 2010, Dr. Hillier has played a pivotal role in shaping the school’s growth, fostering a culture of academic excellence, and strengthening the bond between students, families, and educators.
Under her leadership, the School has seen remarkable progress—achieving outstanding academic results, undertaking significant facility upgrades and new building projects, expanding its subject offerings and co-curricular programs, and experiencing a surge in student enrolments from under 600 to over 1,000.
Most importantly, she has fostered a school community where staff and students feel supported, engaged, and empowered—both professionally and pastorally.
It’s no coincidence that Pittwater House secured the 49th spot in NSW in the Sydney Morning Herald HSC rankings for 2024.
"Serving as Principal of Pittwater House has been one of the greatest honours of my life," said Dr Hillier. "This School is more than just a place of learning—it is a family, a community, and a place where students discover their potential. I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to have worked alongside such dedicated educators, engaged parents, and inspiring students."
A formal search for the School’s next Principal is currently underway, and the transition process will be guided by Board of Directors to ensure continuity and stability.
